PENGEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI GURU DALAM MENGELOLA EMOSI DAN STRES KERJA DI LINGKUNGAN TK NEGERI JOHAR BARU 01

Early childhood education (PAUD) teachers face high emotional demands due to intensive interaction with students, parental demands, and school administrative burdens that have the potential to cause work stress. Work stress that is not managed properly can have an impact on teachers' psychological well-being and learning quality. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' competence in managing emotions and work stress at Johar Baru State Kindergarten 01. The methods used include counseling and training through material delivery, interactive discussions, and practice of managing emotions and coping work stress. Materials include the recognition of emotions, the sources and impacts of work stress, and adaptive coping strategies. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding in managing emotions and implementing work stress coping strategies, as well as a more positive change in attitudes in dealing with work pressure. This activity proves that counseling and training on emotional management are effective in improving teachers' competence and psychological well-being.
Guru pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) menghadapi tuntutan emosional yang tinggi akibat interaksi intensif dengan peserta didik, tuntutan orang tua, serta beban administrasi sekolah yang berpotensi menimbulkan stres kerja. Stres kerja yang tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat berdampak pada kesejahteraan psikologis guru dan kualitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola emosi dan stres kerja di TK Negeri Johar Baru 01. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan dan pelatihan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan praktik pengelolaan emosi serta coping stres kerja. Materi mencakup pengenalan emosi, sumber dan dampak stres kerja, serta strategi coping adaptif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam mengelola emosi dan menerapkan strategi coping stres kerja, serta perubahan sikap yang lebih positif dalam menghadapi tekanan pekerjaan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa penyuluhan dan pelatihan pengelolaan emosi efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan kesejahteraan psikologis guru.
